Spot Out is Master Rug Cleaner Certified and has two certified Rug Masters and one certified Rug Specialist on staff. We are the only company in the Coachella Valley to be accepted into this intensive certification program on specialty cleaning of area rugs and fine textiles as well as rug identification.
We are a Wool Safe Certified company and a member of the Association of Rug Care Specialists.

Josh and his team are so amazingly good!! The whole process was wonderful. Josh gave me an estimate and some suggestions which were very much appreciated. He then came today to clean the carpets and rug, and they were absolutely wonderful! They did such an amazing job. I honestly feel like we got new rugs. They look great. Josh is a really nice person and it is a pleasure doing business with him. He is coming back soon to clean our sofas!

The vision for our company is to be the premier go-to cleaning company for you fabric, floor and rug care needs. With our experience, knowledge and education we want to bring back the old-fashioned service experience that has seemed to fade away in today's world.
Our goal at Spot Out is to make sure that each of our clients has a world class service experience. We strive to put our clients first and to make sure that every job performed by Spot Out is done with the utmost care and respect.
Our purpose is to educate the consumers in the Coachella Valley so that they can avoid being taken advantage of by uneducated, uninformed and sometimes downright unscrupulous service companies.
Our Leadership
Joshua Klopfenstein
Founder & President
Joshua founded Spot Out in 2006. He is a Master Certified Rug Cleaner, IICRC Certified technician, Fabric Pro Specialist and holds a California State Contractors license. His hobbies include racing motorcycles, shooting guns, eating good steak, and loving his wife of 28 years, Connie. Joshua is married and has 4 beautiful children.
Connie Klopfenstein
Vice President
Connie has been with Spot Out since 2006. She is a Certified Rug Specialist, Master Certified Rug Cleaner, and a Fabric Pro Specialist. She currently serves as President for the Association of Rug Care Specialists. Connie is a licensed real estate agent and works with Jason Allen Real Estate Team for Keller Williams Palm Springs. Her hobbies include mid-century modern design, working out and spending time with her family. Connie is married with 4 beautiful children.
Wrigley
Our shop puppy
Wrigley is our 3-year-old Corgi. He loves playing tug-of-war and taking long naps. He will probably bark to greet you when you stop by the shop.
Meet Our Team Members
Austin-Operations Manager
Austin has been with Spot Out for over 5 years. He is a graduate of The University of La Verne and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He played college baseball for 5 years and is currently an assistant coach for the Varsity baseball team at Palm Springs High School. He recently married his beautiful wife, Zoe. In his free time, he enjoys camping and fishing.
Aaron
Aaron was born into the business and brings a fresh, driven perspective to the Spot Out team. Currently, he is playing baseball in college while studying toward a degree in business. As a part-time team member, Aaron balances his responsibilities with school and athletics. He has a passion for vintage design and runs his own online vintage store. In his free time, he enjoys thrifting and spending time with friends. His favorite part of working at Spot Out is the company culture, which he says makes Spot Out a great place to grow and learn.
Javier
Javier has been a trusted member of the Spot Out team for over four years and earned his Fabric Pro Specialist Certification in 2022. Known for his professionalism and attention to detail, he takes pride in delivering excellent care to every home he enters. Outside of work, Javier enjoys hiking, playing airsoft, and spending time with his German Shepherd and Chihuahua. His favorite part of working at Spot Out is getting to meet new people every day.
Dakota
Dakota is a dedicated member of the Spot Out team who brings a positive attitude and strong work ethic to every job. Outside of work, he’s been with his amazing girlfriend for over three years and also serves as an assistant baseball coach at Desert Christian Academy. In his free time, Dakota loves to go fishing and spend time outdoors. His favorite part of working at Spot Out is the team chemistry. Everyone gets along well, which makes it easier to work efficiently and deliver excellent service to every customer.
Pete
Pete is a valued member of the Spot Out team known for his positive energy and dedication to excellence. He has been happily married for 28 years, is a proud father of seven children, and a devoted Papa to four grandchildren. Pete serves as the public address announcer for La Quinta High School’s baseball and basketball teams. When he’s not working or calling games, you’ll likely find him fishing every chance he gets. His favorite part of working at Spot Out is the energy and pride displayed by the team.
